At EyeSite of The Villages, we are dedicated to providing the highest standard of eye care services. This is why we continually update our knowledge and technology regarding vision correction services, including our eyeglasses selection. Here, your go-to eyeglasses store discusses the features and benefits of the different options we offer:

Our Prescription Eyeglass Lenses

We’ll first perform a comprehensive eye exam to measure your visual acuity. If we find signs of presbyopia, an age-related refractive error that may cause difficulties seeing up-close objects clearly, we may advise wearing bifocals. They contain two lens powers—an upper part that provides better distant viewing ease and a lower part to enhance your close-range vision.

Your reliable eye doctor may also recommend using progressives, which work the same way as bifocals but don’t have a visible line separating the lens powers. Trifocals are also helpful to some people, as they allow you to see near, intermediate, and distant objects. In addition, we offer high-index lenses that are made of high-quality, lightweight materials, making them perfect for people with strong prescriptions.

Our Special Enhanced Protection Lenses

We offer a range of lenses that provide different types of protection for your eyes. Our photochromic lenses automatically dim when you’re in the sun, blocking UV rays from reaching your eyes. We also carry Transitions and Crizal anti-reflective lenses to reduce glare, especially when driving at night.

During your eye exams, we will ask about your lifestyle too. If you’re an athlete, we may recommend our polycarbonate lenses, which are made out of impact resistant and durable materials, preventing damage to your eyes. If your job involves significant computer work, we may suggest wearing computer eyeglasses with blue light protective features, reducing your risk of developing digital eye strain.
